Responsible for project modeling requests in the FM&A Task Queue, which requires developing and maintaining financial models to evaluate solar project viability, profitability, and investment potential
Understand the financial impacts of project variables to optimize decision-making and project modeling across the broader finance team
Provide analytical support to FM&A team members for project decision-making and financial analysis
Leverage financial modeling expertise and knowledge of DG solar markets to evaluate project sensitivities, run scenario analyses, and assess strategic options, providing insights that support client offerings, business cases, long-term planning, and improved product development and financing strategies
Stay closely informed and engaged on market strategy and project modeling implications, analyzing impact, and training other FM&A team members as needed;
Assist in Investment Committee materials and administration as needed
Collaborate with FM&A and FP&A team members as well as other cross-departmental teams to collect and validate data inputs for financial models, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Provide variance analysis and analytical support to FM&A and FP&A team members
Create PEL Stage Gate summaries for projects, ensuring compliance with all requirements from ideation through construction, and maintaining a rigorous approach to evaluation aligned with external financing standards
Develop tools and processes to standardize and simplify stage gate materials, communication channels, and decision capture;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the PEL framework, incorporating feedback and best practices
Maintain clear and organized records of research, modeling inputs, stage gate materials, and assumptions for future reference
Conduct research on solar industry trends, policy changes, and market opportunities, synthesizing findings to inform project strategies
Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic financial modeling capabilities
Passion to learn new things through self-study and structured settings

Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently and effectively
