About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and own key account strategy across national, regional, and high-value chain accounts.
  • Lead retailer outreach, new item meeting participation, and account pipeline creation.
  • Map retailer opportunities to distributor footprints so distribution and retail development move together.
  • Prioritize anchor lanes, chain accelerators, and permanent placement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with DOSD, RSM, FSM, brokers, and specialty teams to support account activation.
  • Develop account-specific materials, meeting notes, follow-up cadence, and opportunity scorecards.
  • Create the operating foundation for future RAM and KAM hiring as account density justifies it.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of beverage, CPG, grocery, convenience, club, drug, or chain account management experience.
  • Proven experience calling directly on chain retailers and participating in line reviews / new item meetings.
  • Strong understanding of retailer decision cycles, distributor alignment, trade programming, and field execution needs.
  • Ability to build account architecture and sell an emerging brand into competitive categories.
  • Strong CRM discipline, presentation skills, and cross-functional operating ability.
