About the role

  • Part of a fast-paced environment working alongside internal business partners to solve complex problems and deliver exceptional results
  • Work side by side with Business Development & Marketing teams to develop marketing and event planning skillset while receiving mentorship and career development support
  • Research and build a proposed process for planning and coordinating Pioneer’s marketing events, webinars, and conferences
  • Build a process for pre, in event, and post event logistics including marketing, lead generation activities, venue selection, vendor coordination, registration, and promotional materials
  • Understand and utilize pre-event marketing tactics and channels to promote Pioneer’s participation or leadership of events
  • Work on internal initiative projects brought forth by leaders
  • Perform primary and secondary research tasks to provide impactful, actionable insights and recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner
  • Build positive working relationships with internal staff
  • Part-time W2 hourly internship expected to work approximately 10–20 hours per week in a hybrid capacity from the Minneapolis office over about 3 months

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Comfort handling ambiguity and managing multiple assignments, including strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to commute to various clients across the Twin Cities metro and be able to work in a hybrid working environment
  • Collegiate academic record in Marketing, Event Planning, or related field is preferred
