About the role
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Site Reliability Engineers, partnering with the People team to recruit and retain top-tier talent.
- Oversee the availability, latency, performance, and capacity of services within our FedRamp and DoD compliant environments.
- Manage a global on-call rotation using a follow-the-sun model, lead the incident response process, and conduct blameless post-mortems to prevent recurrence while satisfying all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Drive the automation of infrastructure, build/release processes, and operations to reduce manual overhead and improve reliability and compliance.
- Establish and maintain the Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) program for the environment, ensuring the timely collection and reporting of evidence (e.g., vulnerability scans, audit logs).
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to scope, plan, and execute on the SRE roadmap.
- Collaborate intimately with Security and Compliance teams to ensure our services meet and exceed government compliance and security standards, including active participation in the annual audit cycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering role, with at least 2 years in a management position, preferably in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
- Hands-on, demonstrable experience participating in a regulated audit cycle (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD CC SRG, or similar highly-regulated framework). This includes practical experience with managing and remediating Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) and contributing to the System Security Plan (SSP).
- Intimate knowledge of security and compliance controls, preferably from the NIST SP 800-53 framework, and how to implement them operationally.
- Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), and version control (Git).
- Proficiency in a scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Bash.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
