About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the strategy, execution, and day-to-day engineering operations for a key Protect domain, with a focus on reliability, delivery quality, and technical health.
Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, building a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and strong technical execution.
Stay close to the architecture and implementation details, moving comfortably between planning, technical design, and operational problem-solving when needed.
Partner with Product, Research, SRE, and adjacent engineering teams to prioritize work, remove bottlenecks, and deliver scalable solutions in a multi-cloud environment.
Strengthen engineering fundamentals across your area, including observability, incident response, quality practices, CI/CD, and team operating cadences.
Use data, metrics, and technical judgment to identify systemic issues, improve team effectiveness, and raise the bar on execution.

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in software, platform, or cloud engineering, including direct responsibility for team leadership and delivery outcomes.
Strong hands-on experience building and operating distributed systems in AWS and/or GCP, with familiarity in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering practices.
Proven ability to lead engineers through execution, improve engineering processes, and deliver reliable systems in production.
Strong technical grounding in modern backend engineering, observability, and operational excellence.
Experience in fraud prevention, authentication, voice biometrics, trust and safety, or related security products (Nice-to-haves).
Prior hands-on experience as a software, infrastructure, or platform engineer before moving into management (Nice-to-haves).
Experience working in high-growth SaaS environments where speed, scale, and cross-functional execution all matter (Nice-to-haves).
