About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect logical player journeys and navigation systems, translating game design requirements into detailed wireframes and user flows that ensure a frictionless and engaging experience.
- Design high-fidelity visual assets and interface layouts, creating polished menus and iconography that uphold the project’s aesthetic pillars.
- Take ownership of technical implementation in Unity, configuring UI prefabs, layouts, and components to ensure that design intent is preserved and optimized for performance.
- Understand the project’s context and proactively propose UX solutions that align with player archetypes and business goals, utilizing heuristic evaluations and competitor benchmarking without requiring constant supervision.
- Align your design labor with strategic project goals, demonstrating a deep understanding of the "why" behind every feature to ensure it supports development milestones and player engagement.
- Maintain and expand scalable Design Systems, ensuring visual consistency and professional-grade documentation across all UI components and libraries.
- Drive production efficiency and team growth by providing constructive feedback to ensure UX/UI standards are consistently met, elevating the collective craft of the studio.
- Collaborate cross-functionally as a proactive problem-solver, working closely with Engineers to hook up UI logic and with Game Designers to validate usability through iterative prototyping.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of proven experience, preferable in a studio environment (video games or related), with a strong focus on 3D production for released or liveops titles.
- B2-C1 English proficiency (assessed).
- Bachelor degree in Design, Graphic Design, Systems engineering, or related fields, with a strong emphasis on Interaction Design and/or User Experience (UX).
- Expertise in usability principles, including the ability to synthesize data and playtest findings into actionable design iterations.
- Proven adaptive thinking, with the ability to resolve complex UX challenges and manage your own deliverables with a high degree of autonomy.
- Capacity to understand the project’s context and business goals, ensuring every design decision supports the product strategy.
- Ability to navigate complex design systems, anticipating potential friction points and proposing solutions that balance aesthetics with technical viability.
- Advanced knowledge of Figma use, including expert use of auto-layout, components, and interactive prototyping.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) to create 2D graphic assets for in-engine implementation.
- Practical technical implementation skills in Unity, with experience managing UI assets, prefabs, and understanding engine workflows.
- Strong communication skills, with the maturity to collaborate and align his work with the broader studio vision.
- High degree of self-management to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions based on project needs and player data.
