About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review requirements, user stories, and design documentation to understand expected system behavior
  • Develop and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
  • Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools
  • Validate defect fixes and ensure issues are resolved prior to release
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Ensure applications meet usability and business requirements
  • Maintain clear documentation of testing activities, results, and defects
  • Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in manual testing, quality assurance, or software testing
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development and testing lifecycles (SDLC/STLC)
  • Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans
  • Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting federal government contracts or regulated environments (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or Confluence (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of APIs and backend systems (preferred)
  • Exposure to test automation concepts or tools (preferred)
  • Experience with usability or accessibility testing (preferred)
  • Background check required
