About the role

  • The Product Analyst – VA LGY partners with the product manager to translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories; conduct user research; and visualize experiences through journey maps, wireframes, and mind maps.
  • They define technical, operational, performance, and other non‑functional requirements, including data access and security aligned with Data Governance Directives, and analyze data flows from source to screen while leveraging AWS and contributing to product design and specifications.
  • The analyst produces high‑quality deliverables with a team lead, reviews solution options, and collaborates as a supportive teammate while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Support the product lead with managing intake of new product development feature requests and developing execution plans to manage the movement of features through the software development lifecycle.
  • Support the product lead with creating epics/features/user stories, business rules, data mapping, and the definition of reports and communications.
  • Perform user research and create customer journey maps, UI mockups/wireframes, and mind maps.
  • Create an initial list of technical requirements, operational, performance, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Develop data access and security requirements (some related to Data Governance Directives).
  • Analyze application/business domain data requirements and business rules, understanding the data flow from source to screen.
  • Develop an understanding of AWS products to meet current and future needs.
  • Create high-quality client deliverables with regular supervision from the team lead.
  • Prepare and review solution options with the team lead to solve tough challenges.
  • Be a good teammate to the client and the delivery team, encouraging and enabling teammates to be their best selves.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • An additional 2 years of experience with an Associate's Degree.
  • An additional 4 years of experience with a high school diploma.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Can easily shift focus between high-priority tasks as required.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the face of ambiguity, rather than waiting for direction from above.
  • Navigates through challenges to consistently get things over the finish line.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
