About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the lead advisor on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, timely, and legally compliant outcomes
Provide expert, commercially focused HR advice to managers across the full employee lifecycle
Lead the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, ensuring alignment with legislation and best practice
Coach, challenge, and upskill managers through guidance, training sessions, and ER support
Represent HR in investigations, hearings, and formal meetings, producing clear, high‑quality documentation
Support and contribute to wider HR initiatives, including engagement, change, restructures, and organisational development
Partner with the wider People team to deliver consistent, high‑quality HR operations and a positive workplace culture

Requirements

What you’ll need

CIPD Level 5 qualified, with willingness to work towards CIPD Level 7
Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or equivalent role, with significant exposure to complex ER casework
Demonstrated ability to independently manage high‑risk, sensitive, and complex employee relations matters
Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Confident influencer with the ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced, commercial environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail in investigations and documentation
Highly organised, resilient, and solutions‑focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Experience working in the IT industry would be a big bonus!
