Accounting Manager

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the close process including revenue recognition, cost of sales (including inventory and COGS accounting), and all general ledger activity
• Manage the quarterly review and year-end audit; ensure PBC deliverables are accurate and delivered to external auditor on time
• Review all key balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely completion
• Perform detailed analytical reviews to validate asset and liability account accuracy with particular focus on inventory, accruals, and revenue-related accounts
• Prepare schedules and provide input on public filings including 10-Qs and annual 10-K; review footnote disclosures related to revenue, inventory, and other GL-owned areas for accuracy and completeness
• Manage the direct work of the general ledger accounting team; provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and career development
• Lead effort to identify and create efficiencies in general accounting functions including close process automation, journal entry rationalization, and system optimization within the ERP
• Serve as the primary technical accounting resource for the GL team: research and interpret new and proposed accounting standards, prepare technical accounting memos, and lead the implementation of new standards across the organization
• Assist in overseeing all cash operations including investment, credit facility and payment approvals
• Work closely with Senior Director of External Reporting and Internal Controls to document key controls in the SOX control framework
• Partner closely with the Commercial Finance team on financial analytics, business insights, and cross-functional projects; provide GL perspective on ad hoc initiatives
• Support the VP, Controller on treasury-related matters including cash operations, compliance, and investment reporting, as needed
• Create and/or prepare ad hoc reports for Controller and CFO

• Lead development of the overall Flushable Wipes brand and category strategy, defining long-term growth opportunities aligned with Honest’s Adult Operating Unit priorities and broader company growth objectives.
• Own the development and execution of annual and long-range growth plans, including innovation strategy, portfolio architecture, pricing strategy, and media priorities.
• Translate deep consumer, shopper, and competitive insights into differentiated strategies that expand category relevance and drive adoption among new users.
• Own business performance, including evaluating results, diagnosing opportunities and risks, and adjusting plans to deliver against revenue, margin, and market share goals.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Sales Planning, and Finance to inform demand forecasting and actively participate in monthly S&OP processes, ensuring forecasts reflect business strategy, innovation timing, promotional plans, and market dynamics to support strong in-stock performance and efficient inventory management.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across sales, finance, analytics, legal, regulatory, supply chain, and creative teams to deliver integrated business plans and ensure strong execution across channels.
• Partner closely with Sales and Category Management to shape customer strategies, lead brand inputs to key retailer meetings, and strengthen both in-store and online shopper experiences.
• Lead flushable wipes strategic product pipeline development identifying opportunities to expand the category, optimize assortment, and prioritize investments based on long-term value creation.
• Deliver strategic guidance and prioritization to cross functional partners on the creative and integrating marketing and communications teams on the execution of packaging and marketing campaigns/ assets ensuring strong shopability, clear product benefits, and strong reinforcement of Honest’s differentiated positioning.
• Partner with media and digital teams to develop effective awareness and conversion strategies across retail media, Amazon, and national campaigns, ensuring investments drive both brand equity and commercial results.
• Own P&L inputs and financial performance management, partnering with Finance to ensure disciplined decision-making and profitable growth.
• Deliver clear, concise business updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, proactively identifying opportunities and risks.
• Mentor and develop brand team members, fostering strong ownership, accountability, and collaborative leadership.

Director, Brand Management – Flushable Wipes

Sales

• Partner with the VP of Ecommerce to translate Honest’s growth objectives into a clear Amazon account strategy, inclusive of annual operating plans, category roadmaps, and Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual Amazon goals across revenue, net PPM, contribution margin, and market share.
• Serve as the primary owner of the Amazon relationship, leading day-to-day engagement with Vendor Manager(s) across Beauty, HPC, and Fresh business. Maintaining connectivity with DMMs and Amazon cross-functional teams as needed.
• Own full P&L responsibility for the Amazon business, actively managing Vendor Central financial levers including list price, trade terms, accruals, rebates, markdowns, shortages, and chargebacks to drive profitable growth.
• Lead JBP execution, trade investment strategy, and annual negotiations in close partnership with Finance and Trade, ensuring alignment to Honest financial targets and Amazon category priorities.
• Collaborate with Marketing team to plan, manage, and optimize Amazon Retail Media investments (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display) to support key initiatives, promotional events, and new item launches.
• Use Vendor Central and third-party data platforms to analyze sales, profitability, share, traffic, and conversion, translating insights into clear actions across pricing, assortment, promotion, and media.
• Own demand forecasting for Amazon, delivering accurate weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts inclusive of promotional and trade activity, in partnership with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams.
• Lead Amazon promotional execution across tentpole events and everyday programs, including Best Deals and Subscribe & Save, ensuring strong merchandising, operational readiness, and post-event reporting.
• Monitor category and competitive performance on Amazon, identifying risks and opportunities related to pricing, assortment, promotions, content, and share of voice, and communicate actionable insights to Sales, Brand, and Marketing partners.
• Provide regular business reporting and executive-level readouts, including weekly performance updates, monthly forecasts, and quarterly business reviews.
• Act as a cross-functional connector, ensuring alignment across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Retail Media, Supply Chain, and Content to deliver consistent execution on Amazon.

• Provide monthly reports of your category with key trends and recommendations to optimize business performance.
• Commercialize all product improvements, innovation, and updates by partnering with cross functional teams from concept idea through launch. Responsibilities include leading project kickoffs with detailed project scope, providing volume and net revenue forecasts, locking package briefs, copy and claims and ensuring that on time delivery.
• Assist in new item sell-in including sell decks, forecasts, key dates, product samples and support plans.

• Manage the Honest Quality Management System to ensure compliance and improvement with internal programs, cGMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage the qualification, onboarding and continuous monitoring of suppliers by assessing quality systems, cGMP compliance, and technical and manufacturing capabilities in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee and execute the supplier audit program, including audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up activities.
• Develop strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure on-going compliance with The Honest Company’s quality standards and to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership for the investigation and resolution of quality issues, including non-conformances, deviations, investigations, and Supplier Corrective and Preventive Actions (SCARs).

• Manage retail order processing and fulfillment in alignment with company and customer standards
• Maintain customer catalogs and manage exceptions (product shortages, master pack issues, x-ref tables)
