About the role
- To provide administrative services within Finance in the support of a professional and consistent service.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers and external third parties.
- Ensure best use of resource and skill development by working flexibly across the range of administrative tasks performed in the function.
- Identify issues or areas for improvement within existing processes and highlight to appropriate stakeholders, following through any changes to processes and transactions to agreed standards and timescales.
- Promote compliant behaviours in others when maintaining and updating systems and data in the support of department's activities.
- Provide administrative support across a variety of administrative activities to ensure all stakeholders receive a professional and consistent service..
- Support aspects of the department's projects and initiatives which may include leading work packages, testing systems, inputting to the project based on own knowledge and expertise.
- Balancing workload in the context of service delivery standards.
- Dealing securely with potentially highly sensitive data.
- Ensuring compliance (self and others) with relevant processes in use to maintain and update People function systems and data in the support of activities.
- Requiring to be accurate in dealing with data
Requirements
- Proactive and possess exceptional time management skills effectively prioritising workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience of a financial services company with the ability to work well under pressure, within a fast-paced environment/role.
- Personal strength, resilience and a 'can do' philosophy will be essential for success.
- Confident MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint user with the ability to manage and prioritise a range of outstanding scheduling requirements.
- Ability to provide in-person support to the PA Hub Manager onsite for 3-5 days a week (Edinburgh City Centre Office)
