About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise the day-to-day activities of a claims handling unit
Oversee the investigation of insurance claims
Ensure corporate claims handling procedures and priorities are followed
Ensure budget and productivity requirements are met
Ensure department targets for customer service quality and priorities are met
Participate in hiring, training, evaluation, and development of claims staff
Manage the day-to-day handling and settlement of claims
Oversee processing and tracking of documents and making payments
Track trends and communicate with underwriting

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma required
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
10 plus years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Associate in Claims, CPCU, or other industry-related studies
Experience with Windows operating system
Basic word processing skills
