About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop accurate complex design models and print documentation for components, sub-assemblies, and complete products.
- Provide critical dimension and tolerance information for the designs to engineering.
- Able to work as both the designer and checker for detail drawings and layouts.
- Perform CAD transfers when required.
- Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) information for designs to engineering.
- Organized and structured work style and attention to detail required.
- Work independently in a “hands-on” manner and be comfortable in working with multiple engineers.
- Must possess creative intellect to solve problems and conceptualize new designs.
- Work with engineering direction for creating solutions.
- Identify problems and offer solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree with design focus
- 5 years of design experience with Creo and/or NX CAD software
- Starter and alternator product CAD experience preferred
- Experience with Team Center PLM
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work with limited supervision
