A Controller operates and controls remote pipeline systems through a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system in the Remote-Operations Control Center.
Controllers work a 12-hour Modified DuPont rotating shift schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
As a DOT safety-sensitive position, operating pipeline systems requires skill, dedication, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Controllers must successfully complete a rigorous training program that includes extensive hands-on experience, guided by an assigned Controller Trainer and a Console Supervisor.
The Controller will train on the position of Controller through a progressive training curriculum that includes normal daylight hours and the rotating shift schedule.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Must be 18 years of age
Currently live or be willing to relocate to within 90 miles of the reporting location
Willingness and ability to perform the following:
Work a minimum 12-hour rotating shift schedule that includes weekends and holidays
Work overtime as needed
Respond to facility emergencies and be on site when called within a reasonable amount of time, target of two (2) hour or less
Complete a practical vision test using actual screens and colors to assess ability to distinguish between red, green and other colors for job related tasks
