About the role
- Define and drive the architectural modernization and cloud migration of a mission-critical healthcare platform
- Lead the architectural transformation of a complex backend system
- Enable cloud adoption, improved reliability, scalability, and long-term platform evolution
- Work closely with backend engineering teams, DevOps, security, product management, and technical leadership
- Act as a technical authority and mentor while influencing cross-functional architectural decisions
- Shape long-term cloud strategy, mentor senior engineers, and drive innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
- 7+ years in backend software engineering (architecture, infrastructure, networking, reliability)
- Proven experience as Software Architect with hands-on experience driving the architecture modernization
- Hands-on experience migrating complex on-prem systems to AWS
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and high-availability design
- Experience with C++, C#, Java in enterprise systems
- Practical experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, messaging systems
- Deep understanding of relational databases (preferably Oracle)
- Experience with system reliability, performance tuning, and observability
