About the role
- Transform consumer insights into strong product concepts and experiences for launch.
- Create sketches, early volume models, CAD files, CMF directions, and production-ready specifications.
- Work closely with senior designers in Amsterdam and collaborate with engineers, researchers, brand teams, and suppliers across China and Europe.
- Apply and evolve Philips Avent’s Design Language System, ensuring globally consistent, high design quality.
- Support design-for-manufacturing and guide implementation in partnership with local engineering teams safeguarding design quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product design with a proven track record in consumer products and concept-to-execution design.
- Strong sketching, visualization, and storytelling ability.
- Proficiency in CAD (Rhino or SolidWorks) and excellence in form development.
- Ability to apply design language systems, brand values, and CMF guidelines to create designs ready for launch.
- Experience in user research, benchmarking, and insight translation to create user-centered design solutions.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working across disciplines and cultures.
