About the role
- Provide cost-effective structural foundation designs from conceptual design through to detail design, tender and construction by local codes and standards.
- Lead and mentor designers /drafters and less experienced engineers.
- Perform site visits, inspections, and preparation of reports relating to existing and new structures.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a structural engineer.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Canada directly related to foundation design.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Alberta
- Project experience in foundation design for major infrastructure projects.
- Experience in the design of foundation for electrical power transmission lines and substations would be an asset.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Finite Element Analysis and good knowledge of related structural engineering software for analysis.
- Experience in seismic design and analysis would be an asset.
