About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the dispensing of prescriptions within a busy, deadline-driven environment.
- Ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Assist the Clinical team with day-to-day dispensing activities.
- Take ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy.
- Follow all Pharmacy2U dispensing procedures and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Services, Purchasing, Operations and Pharmacists.
- Meet individual and team productivity targets.
- Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical and professional pharmacy standards.
- Help create a positive, supportive and enjoyable team environment.
- Always put patient safety and quality first.
Requirements
What you’ll need- NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Assistant qualification (essential)
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a pharmacy or similarly regulated environment
- Experience working accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills, including intermediate Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- The ability to prioritise workload and work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- A genuine patient-first mindset and commitment to delivering excellent service.
