About the role
- Leverage cloud-based AI platforms to create, refine, and debug code for logistics-related applications.
- Utilize cloud AI services (e.g., Google Cloud AI, AWS AI, or similar) to generate code from natural language prompts for logistics applications, such as route optimization or inventory tracking.
- Debug, test, and optimize AI-generated code to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability in real-world logistics scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and data analysts, to design and develop software solutions tailored to logistics needs.
- Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes in codebases.
- Stay informed on AI tools and trends in code generation to enhance development workflows.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and quality assurance to maintain high standards.
- Support the integration of AI-assisted tools into broader logistics software projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in software development, programming, or a similar role; fresh graduates with strong internships or personal projects are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) and familiarity with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, React, Node.js).
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, particularly in using large language models for code generation or automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms or online development environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug code and address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas in natural language and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar) (preferred).
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL) and version control systems (e.g., Git) (preferred).
- Interest in logistics-specific challenges, such as supply chain optimization or data-driven decision-making (preferred).
- Experience with AI ethics or prompt engineering for development tasks (preferred).
