About the role

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and prospect exporters, freight forwarders, and clients with shipping needs to and from the USA, generating new business leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with exporters, freight forwarders, and clients operating in the USA market, understanding their logistics requirements and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations with exporters, freight forwarders, and clients to close sales deals and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales plans and strategies, aligned with the unique requirements of exporters, freight forwarders, and the USA market.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events focused on export, freight forwarding, and the USA market to expand professional network and promote our services.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to the sales manager, highlighting opportunities and challenges within the export, freight forwarding sectors.
  • Liaise with internal teams, such as operations and customer service, to ensure smooth execution of sales orders and outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using CRM software.
  • Continuously build knowledge of logistics solutions, industry trends, and best practices related to exporting, freight forwarding, and the USA market.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in sales, with experience in servicing exporters, freight forwarders.
  • Strong sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of the export and freight forwarding industries, including relevant regulations, customs procedures, trade requirements, and shipping trends.
  • Familiarity with the USA market dynamics, including shipping routes, distribution channels, and industry practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in spoken English.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills with attention to details.
  • Knack for identifying potential clients in the industry.
