Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver regional net revenue performance and manage expenses
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute significant commercial revenue opportunities

  • Assist with national and regional meetings and provide insights and leadership to brand teams
  • Assist with incentive compensation planning and lead regional communication and execution
  • Attend conventions, congresses, speaker programs, and insight dinners; conduct field rides
  • Share best practices with RBD peers and encourage cross-organizational communication
  • Coach team members, document growth goals, manage performance, and build team culture
  • Lead and develop Area Business Managers and sales representatives
  • Conduct field rides to gather customer insights and assess talent and capabilities
  • Manage regional culture, engagement, retention, and communication
  • Lead compliant regional HR processes, including hiring, goal setting, reviews, compensation, bonuses, talent planning, and performance improvement plans
  • Support execution and rollout of enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Champion Pfizer’s Purpose Blueprint, Ambitions, Bold Moves, and Values
  • Oversee colleague development platforms such as StepUp and Leadership Lab
  • Lead Business Unit ways-of-working initiatives and projects improving business effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 12+ years of experience
  • 15+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience
  • Minimum of three years of management experience leading a team
  • Primarily field-based role; must be able to spend 3 days per week in the field from the RBD’s home location within reasonable time and cost
  • Proven track record of sales performance and meeting organizational goals
  • Demonstrated matrix leadership experience, including leading others who hold leadership roles
  • Experience leading and building organizations with diverse colleagues across different grades and responsibilities
  • Proven ability to manage performance and develop talent
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards
  • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies hiring
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including analyzing sales data/call reporting software/applications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
