About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a high-performing team across Pfizer’s Neuroscience (Migraine) and Cardiovascular (NVAF/VTE) portfolios
- Report to the Regional Business Director and collaborate with Marketing, Channel, and cross-functional HQ partners
- Hire, coach, develop, and manage 9–12 representatives
- Establish team goals, enforce performance standards, and manage underperformance
- Build team engagement, morale, and continuous improvement
- Apply live, virtual, and hybrid coaching to strengthen representative capabilities
- Develop and implement strategic area business plans aligned to national and regional priorities
- Own area-level budget accountability and monitor resource deployment
- Analyze data to identify market trends, assess stakeholders, and anticipate business shifts
- Manage promotional materials and measure field execution against plan
- Collaborate with Marketing during the operating plan process
- Build relationships with KOLs, large group practices, hospitals, and managed care organizations
- Lead credible, science-forward customer conversations across both therapeutic areas
- Identify key account development opportunities
- Connect healthcare service providers with channel and HQ partners to address complex customer requirements
- Coach representatives on integrating digital tools and cross-functional colleagues into customer engagements
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and Pfizer policy requirements
- Maintain compliance knowledge and escalate issues promptly
- Operate digital and virtual tools and platforms
- Apply data-driven resource management across a dual-portfolio area
- Use sales data and reporting software to adjust strategy and adapt to evolving technology
- Travel across representative territories and attend area and national meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience
- At least 3–5 years in a demonstrated leadership role across peer and customer groups
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with driving record in compliance with company standards
- Any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years is disqualifying
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and create meaningful business impact
- Experience engaging key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred
- MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- 5+ years of people management experience preferred
- Specialty sales experience and therapeutic expertise strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and reinforce team expertise across a broader portfolio with a “Science First” mindset
- Advanced virtual communication skills for customer engagement, team management, and remote collaboration
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret sales data and reporting applications and adapt to evolving technology platforms
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and precise execution
- Strong collaborative, motivational leadership and internal stakeholder management
- Enterprise thinking and ability to anticipate downstream consequences
- Excellent facilitation skills
