About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Motivate, manage, and develop a high-performing team of 9–12 Neuroscience Health & Science Professionals
- Supervise Area Team operations, including hiring, coaching, representative development, and performance management
- Drive sales performance for the business portfolio and assess area stakeholders and market trends
- Coach and observe representatives and maintain frequent customer contact
- Develop and implement Area Team strategic plans, business plans, and district-level budgets
- Plan, organize, and monitor performance to achieve Area Team business potential
- Ensure effective utilization and implementation of promotional materials
- Analyze data proactively to identify market trends
- Identify and develop key account opportunities affecting Area/National business
- Build relationships with customers, KOLs, key stakeholders, channel partners, and cross-functional partners
- Engage customers in clinical conversations and coach representatives on customer engagement
- Collaborate with Marketing on strategies, business imperatives, and objectives during the Op Plan process
- Operate digital and virtual tools and platforms
- Coach and counsel team members on selling skills, product knowledge, and capabilities
- Ensure self and team compliance with applicable policies and processes; escalate issues as necessary
- Apply situational and multimodal leadership and coaching methods
- Build team culture, colleague engagement, morale, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Establish team goals and hold team members accountable
- Report to the Regional Business Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- 6 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience
- At least 3–5 years in a position demonstrating leadership across peer and customer groups
- Experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred
- Ability to travel as needed to develop internal and external relationships
- Valid US driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards
- Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies hiring
- Breadth of diverse leadership experiences, including influencing and collaborating with peers, developing and coaching others, and overseeing colleagues’ work
- MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- 5 or more years of people-management experience preferred
- Ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver Pfizer business imperatives
- Specialty experience and expertise strongly preferred
- Ability to develop team expertise across a broader portfolio of content
