About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development of the evidence generation strategy for Obesity treatments in the Primary Care Division
  • Coordinate input from local country and regional teams and incorporate evidence needs into global market access strategy
  • Lead design and execution of global HEOR studies, including network meta-analyses, non-interventional studies, and economic models
  • Oversee launch deliverables such as value and evidence strategies, global value dossiers, AMCP/JCA dossiers, systematic literature reviews, economic models, and innovative access tools
  • Develop patient-reported outcomes strategy and incorporate humanistic and economic endpoints into clinical trials
  • Provide strategic input into clinical trial designs and analyses to support negotiations, reimbursement, and patient access
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on customer-facing dissemination of HEOR materials under regulatory guidance and internal SOPs
  • Develop strategic partnerships and research collaborations with external experts, healthcare policy makers, payers, and academic and community settings
  • Manage health economics and outcomes research to generate data supporting patient access to Obesity treatments
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Global Access Strategy and Pricing, US Market Access, cross-functional, and country teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate degree required, such as MSc, MPH, or PhD
  • 7+ years of experience with an MSc/MPH/MBA degree, or 5+ years with a PharmD/PhD/DrPH in HEOR or related fields
  • Experience in health economics, epidemiology, health services research, or another research-focused public health field
  • Expertise in HEOR strategy and evidence development
  • Knowledge of health services research methods and tools, including health economic modeling, patient-reported outcomes, statistics, and real-world evidence studies
  • Technical and methodological expertise in registries and observational study design, implementation, analysis, and interpretation
  • Ability to independently manage complex non-interventional study projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of the drug development process
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assess project and program value, align with business priorities, and prioritize accordingly
  • Strong project management abilities, including contracting, budgeting, and vendor management
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with significant budgets, competing deadlines, shifting priorities, and stakeholder engagement
  • Leadership in cross-functional teams and ability to guide junior team members
  • Ability to function within a matrix organization
  • Organized and detail oriented, proactive, and able to anticipate and resolve needs
  • Comfortable responding to unexpected demands with tight timelines
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work in all U.S. time zones
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required

  • Preferred: knowledge and experience in the Obesity therapy area
  • Preferred: experience with HTA organizations such as NICE, CADTH, PBAC, ICER, and other HTA groups
  • Preferred: experience supporting global Obesity launch
  • Preferred: experience developing evidence strategies for reimbursement and cash-pay/direct-to-consumer channels
  • Preferred: experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot and understanding of responsible AI practices
