About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for consented patients across the treatment journey from enrollment through therapy initiation and continuation
  • Conduct patient needs assessments addressing coverage, affordability, and logistical barriers
  • Coordinate care across healthcare providers, caregivers, and sites of care
  • Maintain accountability for end-to-end patient progression and resolve access barriers
  • Provide reimbursement, coverage pathway, prior authorization, step-edit, coding, and payer-specific guidance
  • Resolve reimbursement challenges through escalation and coordination
  • Deliver compliant HCP education on reimbursement processes, coverage pathways, hub services, enrollment, and financial assistance programs
  • Develop and execute account-level access strategies
  • Identify systemic barriers and optimize workflows to reduce therapy-initiation delays
  • Engage payer organizations to clarify coverage policies and resolve access challenges
  • Facilitate communication among HCP offices, payers, and patient support programs
  • Provide internal insights on payer trends, reimbursement challenges, and access barriers
  • Support cross-functional strategy development through field recommendations
  • Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams
  • Participate in account planning and coordinated patient-centric access execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical or related experience in customer-facing roles/functions
  • 9 years of experience with a Master’s, BSN, or RPh
  • 1+ years in an Access and Reimbursement support role
  • Minimum 3–5 years of Specialty Pharma experience, preferably in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sectors, provider/carrier networks, or government agencies
  • Reimbursement and Access experience required
  • Endocrinology or Immunoglobulin sector experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement, government payment systems, provider/carrier networks, co-pay assistance programs, and specialty policy dynamics in the rare disease community
  • Experience demonstrating exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in strategic planning and successful implementation of plans
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work across internal boundaries and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment and follow strict company compliance guidelines and procedures
  • Proven collaboration with diverse customers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Training and experience in responsible business communication, written and spoken
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards
  • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired-driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies hiring
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues’ work
  • Must live within the geography or within 25 miles or closer to territory boundaries
  • Must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
