About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the insights and strategy function for Paxlovid within Global Commercial Analytics
  • Serve as strategic thought partner to US and Global Paxlovid commercial teams
  • Frame and answer priority business questions related to market dynamics, patient/HCP behavior, and investment decisions
  • Design and lead qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods primary market research
  • Translate business priorities into decision-led learning agendas
  • Anticipate market evolution, competitive entrants, treatment paradigm shifts, and access dynamics
  • Lead vendor selection and management, including scope, contracting, and quality oversight
  • Connect sales, claims, patient/HCP, media, CRM, research, and secondary analytics into decision-ready narratives
  • Develop integrated research and data analysis plans linked to brand decisions
  • Build and maintain an in-house knowledge base
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for Paxlovid marketing campaigns and commercial execution
  • Recommend campaign improvements and corrective actions
  • Evaluate campaign assets for optimal customer experience
  • Integrate campaign performance insights to inform resource allocation
  • Partner on Long-Range Forecast and Operating Plan development
  • Lead cross-functional dialogue across data science, analytics engineering, market research, and media teams
  • Advance the future direction of brand activities and contribute to IIS capability-building and knowledge-sharing
  • Manage and coach junior team members and/or vendor partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Psychology, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related field required
  • 8+ years of experience in market research, consulting, commercial/marketing analytics, or a related field; 7+ years with an advanced degree
  • Experience leading both primary market research and secondary data analytics for a major brand or therapeutic area over $1B
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research
  • Ability to frame ambiguous business problems into testable hypotheses and learning plans
  • Experience developing and monitoring marketing/commercial KPIs
  • Ability to translate campaign performance data into optimization recommendations
  • Working proficiency with Tableau, Snowflake for Analytics, Dataiku, Claude, or similar analytics and reporting platforms
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to distill complex, multi-source data into clear, persuasive narratives and recommendations
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States

  • Ability to travel based on business needs
