About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and prioritize the International Division's market access and trade agenda
- Identify and triage procurement barriers, IP challenges, and other commercial or trade policy risks
- Track trade policy developments and anticipate regulatory shifts
- Collaborate with local in-market policy and government affairs leads to engage policymakers
- Represent Pfizer with relevant trade associations
- Assess US trade measures and foreign government responses
- Monitor engagement with multilateral institutions
- Commission data and third-party engagement to support International advocacy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree minimum required; Advanced degree and multilingual preferred
- Minimum 12 years+ international trade policy experience
- Proven track record of success in government relations and international biopharmaceutical industries
- Expertise in negotiation of trade agreements, trade regulation/legislation
- Policy expertise with imports, exports, tariffs
- Capability in country/ministerial-level negotiation/engagement
- Expert in the economic impact of trade agreements on the biopharmaceutical industry
- Proven success in coalition-building
- Strong strategic and creative thinker
- Demonstrated success in development/execution of targeted briefings for executive leadership
- Outstanding oral and written communications skills.
