About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead cross-functional teams of senior leaders within Pfizer R&D, other Pfizer teams and external partners to develop and deliver digital, data and technology transformation that can accelerate clinical trial recruitment, enhance patient experience, inform clinical program decision-making or otherwise produce a step change in Pfizer R&D’s clinical development capabilities
Responsible for strategy, business case, deployment and value capture for technology projects in your portfolio
Partner and collaborate with functional leadership to ensure appropriate resourcing for your projects
Provide strategic support to the Head AI Portfolio, Development in the identification of opportunities for digital technologies/transformation to accelerate clinical trial recruitment, enhance patient experience and inform clinical program decision-making
Identify key clinical development use cases that can benefit from novel technologies
Own relationships with senior external stakeholders at actual or potential technology partners
Accountable for developing the strategy for execution of the use case, managing timelines, budget and assessing impact of projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Applicant must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific/medical discipline
12+ years clinical development and operations experience, including expert knowledge in clinical trial conduct, clinical, monitoring and regulatory operations
Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering on complex, global clinical trials
Deliver innovation projects, including managing SOP compliance and data privacy/regulatory requirements
Deep insights into the clinical trial digital ecosystem and expertise in developing and implementing pragmatic digital solutions to accelerate and improve efficiency of clinical trials
Experience developing business cases and securing funding for investment in innovation projects
Experience monitoring and reporting on ROI / value creation from technological innovations within clinical development
Masters degree in a relevant scientific/medical discipline (preferred)
10+ years clinical development and operations experience (preferred)
PhD in a relevant scientific/medical discipline (preferred)
7+ years clinical development and operations experience (preferred)
MD in a relevant scientific/medical discipline (preferred)
5+ years clinical development and operations experience (preferred)
Experience in technology / data vendor oversight and business development (preferred)
Oncology experience (preferred)
Experience with R&D digital solution lifecycle management and GxP testing and validation (preferred)
