About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement Pfizer China's Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive GEO framework for Pfizer China's commercial brands.
  • Continuously track the evolving landscape of generative AI search and discovery platforms.
  • Partner with brand teams, medical affairs, regulatory, and digital functions to develop compliant, GEO-optimized content assets.
  • Work closely with marketing, medical affairs, communication, regulatory/legal, compliance, digital, and CMO teams.
  • Define GEO-specific KPIs and measurement frameworks; track and analyze brand visibility.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and manage partnerships with technology vendors, content platforms, and AI solution providers.
  • Develop GEO guidelines, training materials, and best practice toolkits to build internal GEO competency.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in digital marketing, SEO/SEM strategy, content marketing, digital strategy, or commercial roles, ideally within pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or technology sectors.
  • Solid understanding of search engine optimization principles with demonstrated curiosity and drive to extend them into the generative AI domain; direct experience with LLM-based platforms or AI-powered search is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with major global and China-based AI platforms (ChatGPT/OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Qwen, YuanBao, Doubao, etc.) and their commercial and regulatory implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex digital trends into actionable commercial strategies; strong analytical, data interpretation, and strategic communication skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Experience with content management systems, marketing analytics platforms, and digital measurement tools; familiarity with AI content testing methodologies is a plus.
  • Highly curious, self-driven, and adaptive to a rapidly evolving landscape; entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for experimentation and innovation.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) required; experience working in multinational environments is highly desirable.
