About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Facilitate contractual proposals and agreements in support of Pfizer Business and Strategy initiatives with a high level of independence in leading low to medium level complexity contract development and negotiations
Develop agreements that maximize contract utilization while ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations, pricing guidelines and other legal considerations
Evaluate negotiation position and recommend appropriate actions/changes based upon customer input and evolving market conditions
Solicit and assimilate input into contract negotiations on terms and conditions, including the escalation of specific points of contention on contractual issues to leadership, Strategy and Contract Management, Account Management, internal legal counsel and other internal business teams; Recommend appropriate courses of action
Manage amendments and other contractual communications to the customer
Possess knowledge of business, financial, legal and commercial contract process and requirements; manage the development of contract documents that are presented and negotiated with customers
Convert key learnings from ongoing contract development activities into go-forward adjustments to contract clauses and templates

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR a master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience OR PhD OR an associate's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience
Understanding of the contracting process including terms and conditions, the redline process, customer negotiations, administration of contracts, and the full contract life cycle
Self-starter with an ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team; builds strong cross-functional relationships across the organization and with customers
Comfortable working under deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple critical and complex projects with a wide-ranging group of constituents; proven track record of being able to prioritize and achieve successful outcomes
Strong analytical and negotiation skills; demonstrated strategic thinking and creativity; ability to bring strategies and analysis to a tactical / executable level
Passionate, energetic, detail oriented, organized, driven, and accountable
