About the role
- Implement and deliver analytical and statistical platforms serving Research, Clinical, Global Supply, and Commercial organizations
- Involved in solution architecture, design, development, and management of operations for statistical and analytics platforms
- Work with implementation leads, technical leads, and architects to understand new capability needs based on customer needs
- Contribute to solution engineering for Gen AI solutions, data pipelining, and statistical platform projects
- Develop proofs of concept to demonstrate how capabilities can be engineered
- Act as a key SME for production troubleshooting and provide technical oversight
- Help develop a set of patterns for using new capabilities and provide guidance to contracted teams
- Use and integrate technologies including AWS (Event Bridge, Lambda, data/analytics), Oracle/Postgres, Spotfire, SAS, R, Tableau, Python, Alteryx, Databricks (Delta Lake/Delta Sharing), Kafka, Spark, and container ecosystems (Kubernetes/Docker/Rancher/Artifactory)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years' experience
- Demonstrated experience engineering solutions with data warehouse, data lake, and BI/analytics technologies
- Strong experience with AWS (data/analytics technologies, Amazon Event Bridge, AWS Lambda)
- Experience with databases (Oracle, Postgres)
- Experience with Spotfire, SAS, R, Tableau, Python, Alteryx
- Experience with Databricks (Delta lake, Delta Sharing)
- Experience with Kafka, Spark Programming
- Experience with container ecosystem (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, Artifactory)
- Provide technical oversight for contracted team members designing, building, supporting, and maintaining BI/analytic platforms/solutions
- Demonstrated experience providing technical oversight of engineering team members
- Demonstrated skills or aptitude for analysis, problem solving, organization, written communication, and facilitation
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience engineering systems in the context of a structured software development lifecycle (SDLC/Agile)
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- Preferred: Master's degree
- Preferred: Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
- Preferred: Experience with Agile Software Delivery and/or Scrum Master Certification
- Preferred: Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, preferably R&D or clinical development
