About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team and develop portfolio and asset Medical Strategies in collaboration with local Medical Leads
  • Partner cross-functionally with various medical teams and commercial teams
  • Provide exceptional oversight of environmental, disease state, competitor, asset analysis
  • Develop rapid data analytic capacities
  • Engage with medical directors of independent networks to develop beneficial solutions enhancing patient care
  • Chairs or leads the Global Medical Affairs Team
  • Represent medical affairs globally at relevant asset team and committees
  • Proactively incorporate patients' & physicians' voices in development strategy
  • Ensure country aligned medical input into global commercial strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • MD, PharmD, or PhD required
  • More than 10 years with PharmD/PHD or more than 9 years with MD in the medical affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry
  • In-depth Obesity experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with patient care, especially in specific therapeutic area preferred
  • Deep understanding of HCP informational needs
  • Scientific translational research background and ability to understand, interpret, and communicate scientific literature
  • In-depth understanding and experience with study methodology, protocol design, safety evaluation, and data analysis
  • Proactive, pragmatic, flexible person with excellent leadership qualities, strategic thinking, communication & presentation skills
  • Management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead matrixed, cross-functional work teams
