About the role
- Lead forecasting for Prevnar Pediatrics while providing support for forecasting for Prevnar Adult and Comirnaty products.
- Serve as the senior member of a brand-aligned team of strategists responsible for harnessing insights from multiple sources to develop, pressure test and socialize the mid-term and long-range forecast while gaining alignment across the commercial teams.
- Act as the lead for the development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans in partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders.
- Coordinate forecasting activities with US and Global Commercial teams.
- Drive the creation of best-in-class epi and trend-based forecast models in partnership with Forecasting Center of Excellence (CoE) colleagues.
- Actively manage and oversee external vendors supporting forecast model/tool development.
- Ensure accurate and effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.
- Collaborate closely with the Lifecycle Director within the team to support forecasting and scenario analyses for Prevnar Adult and Comirnaty.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field required; MS or MBA preferred.
- 6+ years in consulting, finance or market analytics (5+ years for MS or MBA).
- 3+ years at a high-value level (e.g., US & Global) developing data-driven brand strategy for major assets (>$1B).
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly proficient in leveraging primary market research and secondary pharmaceutical data sets (e.g., sales data, claims data, EHR, payer) to generate actionable insights that address strategic business questions.
- Familiarity with use of AI in forecasting applications.
- Defined involvement in helping frame, design and run forecasting scenarios for challenging business situations.
- Proven track record of being an indispensable thought partner to senior brand leaders and influencing without authority.
- Team-orientation and collaborative approach; outstanding listening skills and the ability to manage through influence.
- Exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity, a creative visionary who can drive innovation.
- Sophisticated executive demeanor, comfortable functioning at the highest levels of organizations; excellent presentation skills, including strong verbal and writing capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to influence and drive change at all levels in an organization.
- Ability to be a self-starter and work proactively and independently if and when required.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing.
