About the role
- Partner with the global, US, and International Medical Affairs teams to align on the development of scientific training curricula and on the most effective training strategies
- Lead the execution of the scientific training strategies for a therapeutic area or group of therapeutic areas globally and within countries
- Execute scientific medical training globally including but not limited to scientific on-demand training through the Pfizer Learning Academy and/or My Essential Learning
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including teams across Medical Affairs, the broader Medical Academy Team, and other relevant teams to ensure alignment and integration of learning program design and delivery
- Provide professional oversight (clinical/medical and training) of all content developed for training & learning
- Deploy metrics for measuring and improving scientific knowledge and associated competencies in agreed therapeutic areas
- Identify and pilot innovative learning initiatives
- Support systems and processes associated with developing the next generation of personalized learning for Pfizer Medical Affairs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years OR master’s degree with 7+ years OR equivalent terminal doctoral degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience required
- Experience within Medical Affairs
- Strong strategic mindset, understanding of medical affairs, clinical development, health policy, and technology
- Experience leading innovative projects
- Very strong communications and relationship building capacity
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, matrix environment
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
