About the role
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies
- Facilitate category management for ongoing operations
- Lead key strategic cross-functional and transformational projects
- Develop and manage supplier relationships and seek continuous improvement opportunities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Procurement
- Build strong relationships within a network of colleagues at all levels
Requirements
- BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of procurement systems, processes, and procedures
- Experience in leading and facilitating cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers and develop and coach others
