About the role

  • Collaborate with the DevOps and development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and management of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with a focus on security best practices.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, applying incident response procedures as necessary.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in the field of DevSecOps.
  • Contribute to the automation of security tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation related to digital procedures and processes.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and penetration testing of applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience with AWS Infrastructure & services.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, threat vectors, and risk management techniques.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated on evolving security trends and technologies.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code (IAC) principles using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Agile (SAFe preferred).
  • Familiarity with security scanning tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST) and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with enterprise grade architecture principles.
  • Any relevant certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certifications, Azure Certifications, etc.
