About the role

  • Develop and execute impactful scientific communication strategies for Pfizer Oncology
  • Oversee a team creating high-impact scientific content across various channels
  • Align strategies with brand and therapeutic strategies
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Pfizer Oncology and the wider Pfizer enterprise
  • Manage the continuum of scientific communication activities
  • Ensure strategic alignment and excellence in delivery
  • Identify requirements for SCP above brand and TA-specific content
  • Lead engagement with CMO enablement platforms and other stakeholders
  • Deliver internal communications around new scientific and clinical data
  • Serve as a Functional Leader in chosen capabilities (Congress, Content, Data Disclosure)

Requirements

  • Biopharmaceutical/biotech or agency experience (Medical Communications, Medical Affairs, or scientific communication within Clinical Development roles)
  • Relevant experience: BA/BS with 15+ years, MBA/MSc with 13+ years, PharmD/PhD with 8+ years, MD with 5+ years
  • 5+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications or Publications Agency as a content developer
  • Proven track record of leading scientific communications teams in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong understanding of Oncology-specific communication challenges
  • Experience developing strategic scientific communications and other scientific content for HCPs
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers
  • Quick to build rapport and credibility with stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into digestible communications
