About the role
- Responsible for leading the development and optimization of packaging solutions for both new and existing products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers to deliver innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions.
- Design, test, and implement packaging for new products, ensuring alignment with product requirements, brand standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives on existing packaging through material changes, design improvements, and supplier negotiations.
- Investigate and resolve packaging-related quality issues, working closely with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support corporate sustainability goals by evaluating and recommending eco-friendly packaging alternatives.
- Maintain accurate packaging specifications and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Lead packaging-related projects from concept through commercialization, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail packaging engineering, preferably in consumer goods, food, or toys.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and testing protocols.
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings and resolving packaging quality issues.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
