About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage user accounts, including setting up, modifying, and deactivating accounts according to company policy and security guidelines
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues, providing first-level support
- Handle and resolve IT support tickets, prioritizing by urgency and impact and escalating complex issues
- Conduct routine checks on computer systems and networks for performance and security
- Assist with setting up systems and configuring hardware and software
- Maintain records of user access changes, IT issues, and resolutions
- Learn new technologies and IT procedures, especially access management and support ticket systems
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless user access and effective issue resolution
- Support IT projects involving access management and support system enhancements
- Maintain, support, and optimize IT infrastructure and day-to-day technology operations
- Assist with implementing new technologies, maintaining cybersecurity protocols, and ensuring compliance with IT policies
- Travel to headquarters and pet care centers as needed to familiarize yourself with projects and ensure timelines are met
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic knowledge of IT systems, networks, and software
- Keen interest in access management
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Familiarity with ticket resolution systems and processes is a plus
- Google Workspace
- JIRA (Atlassian)
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Must live in the Charlotte, NC area
- Dedicated workspace with reliable internet access
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while using a computer
- Ability to travel up to 10% to headquarters and pet care centers
- Availability to work Friday-Tuesday, 8am-5pm EST
