About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • P&L Ownership & Performance Management: You assume full economic responsibility for Italy, steering revenue growth, profitability, and operational KPIs with a clear performance mindset. Through transparent reporting and data-driven decisions, you ensure visibility and reliability for C-level management.
  • Team Building & Organizational Development: You lead and evolve the existing team while scaling our local Italian organization across all functions into a robust setup. You establish clear structures and defined interfaces with our Munich HQ, strengthening processes and creating an environment that fosters ownership, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Market Development & Growth Strategy: You are responsible for the strategic and operational expansion of our Italian business, laying the foundation for sustainable, scalable growth. You develop the market with entrepreneurial foresight and set clear priorities aligned with our global growth strategy.
  • Strategic Sales & Market Presence: Together with the sales team, you actively drive expansion within the municipal, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and transport sectors. You develop existing customer relationships, acquire new strategic accounts, and manage complex sales cycles with a strong closing focus and a deep understanding of the Italian market.
  • Tender Excellence & Process Integrity: You analyze the structure of tenders and public procurement procedures to develop efficient, legally compliant processes for the Italian market. With your regulatory expertise and structured approach, you create a resilient foundation for the long-term success of the sales team.
  • Customer Retention & Trust-Building: You ensure that our existing customers are managed successfully for the long term and strengthen our market position through professional stakeholder and escalation management. With high reliability and a commitment to quality, you build lasting trust in the market.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset & Leadership Experience: You bring several years of experience in the Italian B2B environment and have successfully driven above-average growth, developed teams, and scaled business units in a senior leadership role.
  • Industry Insight & Strategic Foresight: You understand complex business models at the intersection of technology, operational implementation, and scaling. Ideally, you bring experience from the mobility, smart city, SaaS, or real estate sectors.
  • Regulatory Understanding & Tender Experience: You are intimately familiar with the specifics of the Italian market and have successfully navigated tenders or public procurement procedures. You possess both technical expertise and an intuition for efficient, sustainable processes.
  • Linguistic & Cultural Proficiency: You communicate in Italian at a native level and are business-fluent in English. This enables you to build local trust while acting confidently in an international environment. Knowledge of German is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Strong Communication & Diplomatic Skills: You move confidently between local market realities and an international corporate context. With a high degree of reliability and clear communication, you create alignment between diverse stakeholders and serve as a strong bridge between Italy and the DACH organization.
