About the role
- Act as a key contact for patient communication and care coordination
- Build expertise through collaboration and ongoing learning opportunities
- Support patients and their family members through all aspects of their cancer experience
- Make phone calls to and take phone calls from patients from all treatment modalities
- Manage new referrals to the service
- Work with all members of the team as well as allied health and community services
Requirements
- Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in oncology nursing at a senior level
- An understanding of and experience with developing evidence-based practice
- A post graduate qualification in Melanoma, Oncology or related field.
- Demonstrated involvement in professional activities and organisations e.g., Australian College of Nursing, Cancer Nursing Society of Australia, Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand
