About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end procurement for Persona's most significant product, infrastructure technology, and large-scale data partnership contracts
Lead commercial and legal negotiations for pricing, SLAs, and risk protections
Partner with Legal on contract review and vendor redlines
Build and maintain internal vendor tracking systems
Evaluate vendor pricing, performance, consolidation, and spend optimization opportunities
Develop annual third-party spend budgets with Finance and track actuals against forecasts
Provide budget owners visibility into spend trends, renewal timelines, and savings opportunities
Own the renewal calendar and ensure proactive negotiations and stakeholder alignment
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance leadership on technical requirements and roadmap needs
Lead vendor business reviews covering deliverables, service levels, and strategic value
Serve as primary contact for vendors and senior internal stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management
Experience ideally in a technology, SaaS, or data-heavy environment
Track record leading and closing high-value, complex infrastructure, data, or platform contracts
Financial acumen including budget tracking, cost modeling, and spend optimization
Strong negotiation skills and ability to create mutually beneficial deal structures
Ability to operate at executive level and with technical stakeholders
Ability to translate complex product and engineering requirements into procurement strategy
Exceptional project management skills handling multiple high-stakes negotiations and renewals
Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills
Experience with SaaS and data licensing agreements preferred
Familiarity with privacy, data protection, and compliance considerations such as GDPR, SOC 2, and DPA preferred
Background scaling procurement processes at a fast-growing technology company preferred
