About the role
- Conduct testing of ProAdmin enhancements and client solutions ( e.g. complete alpha testing, complete assigned beta testing for each release, reviewing interface changes, calculation results, and help features, Incorporate additional testing scenarios).
- Assist ProAdmin users by providing expert advice, troubleshooting issues, and documenting best practices while supporting the complete ProAdmin suite of offerings, ProAdmin Desktop, Server, Online and Fulfillment Tool.
- Configure client DB plans using ProAdmin Desktop, ensuring seamless integration and installation , and collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage projects effectively.
- Verify ProAdmin training manual changes, participate in ProAdmin web training development , participate in user training (both onsite and virtually).
- Participate in the design of ProAdmin enhancements based on user requests, regulatory updates, and technological advancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related field.
- Actuarial credentials are a plus.
- 5+ years in DB outsourcing or DB valuation
- Expertise in DB plan document interpretation and setup
- Mastery of actuarial concepts and benefit calculations – (e.g data storage, retrieval, and updates; user interface development; output of results; software updates)
- Experience with DB administration workflows in outsourcing and client environments
- Previous experience with development of general benefit calculation tools
- Expertise of creation of participant forms and letters
- Knowledge of current US defined benefit administration rules, regulations and calculations
- Ability to create a spreadsheet (or a program) to perform benefit calculations without using templates or utility functions: annuity factors (i.e., find and apply actuarial formulas); complex salary, final average salary, and service calculations
- Strong mathematical and logical problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project)
- SQL or database experience is an asset
- Experience with ProAdmin or ProVal is an asset
