About the role
- - Use discretion and judgment in the intellectual field of architecture to accomplish the following:
- - Create, develop and design all Perry Homes products.
- - Develop and create preliminary floor plans and elevation designs;
- - Thoroughly analyze preliminary designs for cost compliance, value engineering, and overall design efficiency and make recommendations to management based on review;
- - Coordinate design implementation and accuracy by working with CAD producers.
- - Work with Production Manager to oversee flow of plans through department.
- - Field reviews of Perry Homes products as well as competition.
- - Remain up-to-date on market demands for plans and customer requests for all major Texas metropolitan areas.
- - Obtain continuing education program hours approved by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners to maintain license.
- - Frequently must complete projects on a very short notice with extreme time constraints.
- - Perform other tasks as assigned by Senior Vice President of Design, as requested.
Requirements
- - Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field required.
- - Must be a Licensed Architect in Texas.
- - Requires minimum 3 years of experience in design with an emphasis in high-end residential design.
- - Demonstrated presentation and computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD and a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
