About the role

  • - Use discretion and judgment in the intellectual field of architecture to accomplish the following:
  • - Create, develop and design all Perry Homes products.
  • - Develop and create preliminary floor plans and elevation designs;
  • - Thoroughly analyze preliminary designs for cost compliance, value engineering, and overall design efficiency and make recommendations to management based on review;
  • - Coordinate design implementation and accuracy by working with CAD producers.
  • - Work with Production Manager to oversee flow of plans through department.
  • - Field reviews of Perry Homes products as well as competition.
  • - Remain up-to-date on market demands for plans and customer requests for all major Texas metropolitan areas.
  • - Obtain continuing education program hours approved by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners to maintain license.
  • - Frequently must complete projects on a very short notice with extreme time constraints.
  • - Perform other tasks as assigned by Senior Vice President of Design, as requested.

Requirements

  • - Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field required.
  • - Must be a Licensed Architect in Texas.
  • - Requires minimum 3 years of experience in design with an emphasis in high-end residential design.
  • - Demonstrated presentation and computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD and a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
