About the role

  • Assist in development of Operation Excellence Program
  • Provide supervision, support, coaching, training, and development of Plant Operating team
  • Monitor day-to-day execution of Plant performance
  • Drive improvements in overall losses (Safety, Quality, Productivity)
  • Ensure operations comply with current Good Manufacturing Procedures
  • Review Standard Operating Procedure changes and monitor training/enforcement
  • Drive continuous improvement using problem solving methodologies
  • Monitor key performance indicators and encourage teamwork to close gaps
  • Develop individual training and development plans for team reports
  • Perform and lead Root Cause Failure analysis for losses
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, performance evaluation, attendance/payroll, succession planning
  • Ensure implementation of repairs/modifications from assessments and audits
  • Participate in capacity or budget planning and present recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of production supervision experience
  • Continuous Improvement Knowledge (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, TPM, RCA)
  • Knowledge of cGMPs
  • Experience supervising in pharmaceutical/nutritional operations
  • Firsthand experience in managing infant nutritional manufacturing operations
  • Sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good planning and analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing, packaging, and/or warehousing processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas and shifts
  • Ability to manage in high pressure environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, CMMS, BI)
