About the role

  • Provide comprehensive package engineering support and packaging component expertise
  • Develop and prepares packaging specifications and bills of materials, cost estimates and rationalizations
  • Conduct and document package testing for component approval or troubleshooting
  • Work closely with other Business Units and functional teams to support launch of new products/packages
  • Collaborate to develop promotions and displays, and develop cost savings initiatives
  • Provide deviation resolutions related to packaging component quality
  • Manage changes and resolve or escalate project issues
  • Participate in the selection of new equipment and/or tooling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/scientific discipline - ideally Packaging Engineering
  • Average of five or more years of progressively responsible packaging development experience in an operational environment
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of EU GMPs
  • Experience executing testing protocols for a wide variety of packaging components
  • Proven ability to work independently toward specific goals
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to develop sound economic analysis
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge of methods in package design, testing, and packaging materials, tooling, methods improvement, ergonomics, and project management skills.
  • Speaks fluent English.
