About the role
- Provide technical expertise and solutions to support quality and operations at the manufacturing site
- Explore innovative and alternate solutions to meet business needs
- Coordinate and lead continuous improvement projects aimed at waste reduction and efficiency improvements
- Act as technical expert with a broad knowledge of the latest packaging equipment
- Investigate the root causes of quality incidents
- Collaborate with global resources on auxiliary functions supporting local operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Engineering Management preferred
- 3-5 years of direct Engineering experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Established understanding of engineering theoretical fundamentals of equipment operation
- Ability to read and understand drawings, flowcharts, schematics, as it relates to system design documentation
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean and Six Sigma processes
- Ability to make sound economic analyses with prudent financial judgment
- Ability to work toward broad goals and to exercise initiative in identifying projects
- Demonstrated experience with quality systems in an FDA current GMP regulated environment strongly preferred
