Requirements
- Performing business analysis, defining and documenting requirements, and driving delivery in coordination with the product owner, senior business analyst, IT team, and users.
- Translating and simplifying requirements for optimizing execution and outcomes.
- Authoring well-elaborated user stories and detailed acceptance criteria that capture typical and alternate scenarios as well as exception events/handling for both business and technical audiences.
- Gaining deep understanding of current and future product features and functions.
- Contributing to maintaining an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is in focus and where everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible.
- Performing GAP analysis to determine if business requirements are being met.
- Creating business process workflows and any other artifacts required as needed.
- Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- BA or BS Degree
- Five (5) or more years’ experience in business analysis
- Five (5) or more years’ experience as part of a software development team (project and client management skills are critical and required)
- Demonstrated experience with full software product life cycles, including specifications and design.
- High-level experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with strict deadlines
- P&C insurance experience or Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification is preferred, but not mandatory
