Requirements

  • Performing business analysis, defining and documenting requirements, and driving delivery in coordination with the product owner, senior business analyst, IT team, and users.
  • Translating and simplifying requirements for optimizing execution and outcomes.
  • Authoring well-elaborated user stories and detailed acceptance criteria that capture typical and alternate scenarios as well as exception events/handling for both business and technical audiences.
  • Gaining deep understanding of current and future product features and functions.
  • Contributing to maintaining an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is in focus and where everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible.
  • Performing GAP analysis to determine if business requirements are being met.
  • Creating business process workflows and any other artifacts required as needed.
  • Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in business analysis
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience as part of a software development team (project and client management skills are critical and required)
  • Demonstrated experience with full software product life cycles, including specifications and design.
  • High-level experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with strict deadlines
  • P&C insurance experience or Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification is preferred, but not mandatory
