About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Co-own the field marketing strategy and divide the portfolio across company priorities, target accounts, sales territories, product launches, and pipeline goals
  • Design programs around audiences, business objectives, conversion paths, and follow-up plans
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and activate third-party conference sponsorships
  • Coordinate speakers, on-site presence, pre-event outreach, and post-event motions
  • Run executive dinners, vertical roundtables, regional roadshows, customer workshops, and hackathons
  • Partner with Account Executives, SDRs, and Sales leadership on target accounts, meetings, outreach, on-site roles, lead routing, and follow-up
  • Represent Perplexity at conferences and owned events
  • Build integrated campaigns with Product Marketing, Growth, Lifecycle, Social, Communications, and Partnerships
  • Manage agencies, vendors, venues, budgets, timelines, staffing, production, and contingency planning
  • Measure registration, attendance, meetings, opportunities, revenue, target-account engagement, pipeline, deal acceleration, and ROI
  • Build planning processes, event tiers, checklists, reporting, and retrospectives to scale the field marketing program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in field marketing and event marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology
  • Proven track record building and scaling portfolios including third-party sponsorships, conferences, and company-led field programs with measurable pipeline or deal-acceleration results
  • Ability to operate across strategy, sponsorship evaluation, campaign planning, event production, executive management, on-site execution, and performance analysis
  • Strong event planning and execution skills, including intimate executive programs and larger conferences, roadshows, or customer events
  • Experience collaborating with a peer to divide a large portfolio, make tradeoffs, share context, and support each other's programs
  • Ability to engage senior executives, customers, prospects, Sales teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience setting targets, managing budgets, working with CRM data, and reporting sourced and influenced pipeline
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and calm under pressure
  • Willingness to travel frequently for event management and field activations
  • Ability to come into the office four days per week
  • U.S. work authorization/sponsorship status must be disclosed
