About the role
- Increase adoption and usage of Permutive curated audiences among agency trading teams, emphasising custom audience curation
- Qualify, build, and meticulously manage an accurate sales pipeline across agencies and brand advertisers to expand client relationships and grow programmatic revenue
- Maintain a high volume of activity including outbound calls, emails, in-person sales and education sessions, and social selling to generate new business and nurture existing relationships
- Act as a trusted advisor, taking a consultative approach to uncover business needs and demonstrating how Permutive's curation capabilities can address those needs
- Serve as the primary programmatic expert for key media agencies and their digital planning and buying teams, providing strategic guidance, audience curation recommendations, and performance insights
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients based on knowledge, trust, transparency, and exceptional results
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and share knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement
- Build advocacy for Permutive across agency customer teams and own relationships with stakeholders up to Head of Programmatic level
- Represent Permutive at industry conferences, events, and networking sessions
- Exceed significant media spend targets on the Permutive platform and promote curation and activation of bespoke audiences
Requirements
- Extensive experience and a track record of success in digital, mobile, programmatic, and/or audience data advertising sales
- Strong existing relationships with media agencies in the US
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt positioning and messaging to market needs
- Self-starter "hunter" mentality, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience managing large budgets and complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable sales environment
- Deep expertise in the programmatic ecosystem (ad exchanges, DSPs, SSPs, and data providers)
- Deep understanding of audience segmentation, targeting strategies, and digital measurement (including MMM, econometrics, and attention metrics)
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of developing lasting relationships with key decision-makers at large media and advertising agencies
- Ability to commute to and collaborate in the New York office at least 2 days per week
- Willingness to attend industry conferences, events, and networking sessions
